Costco Challenge

I have an addiction. Not shoes (this time)... Costco! Something about it just sucks me in. Of course, you can't beat the bargains. Especially with a baby. The savings on diapers, wipes, and formula is huge! And, as much milk as we go through, the deal on a gallon is second to none. That would all be fine. Grab the necessities and go. And yet, I can't seem to do it... unless I'm on a time crunch. I'd be hard pressed to think of a time I've gotten in and out for less than 175 bucks. It's because of those impulse buys. I can pass up enough mayo to feed an army. But, there are too many other temptations! Oh wow, look. Ready made Pancake batter. Interesting. (Actually being facetious here, but you get the point... and they really do sell this product.) Maybe the savings factor figures in so I pick up other things (I don't truly need). Plus, I just love trying all the samples. Even when I know exactly what they taste like. Yup, Costco rocks and lucky or unlucky for me, I live just a couple minutes away...

Hey Tannya,
You forgot to mention about how after you come out of the store, you get a hot dog+drink for $1.57 (includes tax)...we also spend at least $100.00 everytime we go there too. Hope you are an "executive" member to get the cash back bonus.

Good point! How could I forget the hot dog combo?!? Best deal in town. Actually, my pregnant sister in law had a Costco hot dog craving recently. Yummy. We do get the cash back, but it becomes sort of justification to spend. Like charging to earn miles.

My favorite deal at Costco... 4 half-gallons of OJ for $6. That's how much I pay for one at Safeway. Oh, and then the 30-pack of Bud Light...
